Frank Awards 2013: Best Film

This is the big finale! Down below, after the final decission, I have a final tally of the films nominated and those who won Frank Awards. Thanks for those who stuck it out.

Best Feature, Narrative:

Last year the winning film was ‘Django Unchained’ (2012), let’s see which masterpiece will take its place this year!

Among the nominees this year you can find ‘Computer Chess’, a movie about computer machines starting up and reacting to humans. Then you have ‘Her’ that is about a man falling in love with an OS, a machine, you could say. Of course you have to have ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ as one of the nominees, an epic continuation to the saga, a movie with deep emotions and great action sequences. Then you have ‘The World’s End’, a movie about beer, robots and the understanding of your own shortcomings and never growing up. And finally you have ‘Yi dai zong shi’, a conceptual movie about the movements of the soul, the mind and the body and how they are always connected.

And the best film of the year is:

‘Her’ is the best movie of the year. Not much else can be said, except for… watch it!
